Confidence

Blue and Baby J were dancing along to music while I was driving to work yesterday. I complimented Blue on her great moves and she said, "I know Mommy. I'm a rock star!" =)

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! Today we started off with seeing what the Easter Bunny brought to us and then it was off to church with Nana and Papa. After, we ate hot crossed buns and eggs and went on a hunt. There is also the adult egg hunt . I dominated this year against D (25 eggs to 23)! This evening we went to Gtrandma for Easter dinner with the west coast cousins. It was an eventful, but wonderful day.

Baby J walked tonight!

What a special night. John walked on his own for the first time! The best part was that D and I were there to see it. He's on the move now!

My how birthdays have changed

Far gone are the days where you race up and down the stairs to break a balloon in the end. Birthdays for some of these little girls are different. Blue got the opportunity to go to her friend Maddie's 4th birthday. It was a Pinky's Salon. All of the little girls got to have manicures, pedicures, and massages. Seriously, I'm not kidding, Blue said, Mommy I really like this. We should do this all the time." Here are the girls.
They got to choose two colors. One for hands, one for toes.

Blue immediately grabbed the blue polish. (that's my child) After she realized she got another choice she picked light pink for her hands.

Baby J enjoying all the chicks and some delicious goldfish crackers.

Notice the cup of sparkling cider near my little darling.

I kept profusely thanking this woman for doing the stuff for Blue. It was strange. I felt very out of my element.

Here they are!

She even got a little crystal in the middle of the flower on her toe. =)

Catching up Christmas 2008

Ok.......I'm a little behind. Kitty proof christmas tree with just enough room for Santa to get in. Stockings were hung along with a tasty treat for Santa and the reindeers.

A very sad day

Today was so sad for all of us in that Cloud had to be put down. He was 28 just like me. I spent many years riding, loving, and growing up with him. I have so many memories of apple picking with him. We would go on these long hacks through the woods, I won my first (and only) blue ribbon with him. I learned how to ride with him. I used to be able to fly over jumps and fences. He equaled freedom. My favorite times other than that were the quiet visits that I would pay him at night. He was just endlessly loving. I could stand there and just hug him and he would let me for a long time. I didn't have stress or worry. Just my friend. Mom and Dad have done such a wonderful job at being there everyday. He knew he was loved. He gave us so much back. He is irreplaceable.

Beau's Cloudburst "Cloud"
Here is Blue when she was very small getting her first lessons on Cloud.
Cloud, I will miss you very much. You have been part of this family for the past 17 years. You will always be in my heart and memory. I love you.
